New KSCL Homepage

We've just launched our new website. It's clean, smooth, and incorporates some social networking, but it has some problems that need to be addressed. We're also looking into expanding it, I'll detail that information here.

First, I apologize for the history section. I'll be working on expanding it as soon as I get back from my trip. For now, we'll just have to live without the history section. I'd also like to improve the navigation (especially with images), but I can't get my head around it. Maybe a light will click soon.

There are several things we'd like to add in the future, including DJ playlists, instant messaging with DJs, internet streaming, and a section for underwriting. Suggestions are open! Feel free to drop me a line via email. I feel confident in the current site, hoping it will draw attention to our blog. My goal is to incorporate all of KSCL's digital lives into one. So you, the listeners, can get in touch with us easier.

Anywho, stay tuned to new web developments. The website is a one-man team, with lots of staff input.

Jon - congrats on the site. Good to see the Underwriting section in the works. What about donations from the community - i.e. a pledge page? Keep it up!

The webpage has a come a long way in the past few years. It's very clean and easy to navigate now. Kudos.

#1: I think a vinyl sale or something of the sort is due. As sad as it may be, hardly no vinyl gets played anymore (although I did occasionally do a seven inch show because there are some good seven inches). Most of the 12 inch stuff is worse crap than a lot of the old CDs on the shelves.

#2: There's obviously a lot of good stuff from the 80s and 90s that I think is still relevant to be played, however, a lot of that older stuff sounds horrible now and I wanted to get rid of back in 2003 and 2004, but we didn't have a good method of doing so, so good luck.

#3: Another possible suggestion for digitizing older CDs would be to rip a song or two from albums and say to hell with the rest.

#4: I wanna do a marathon show some Saturday this summer!

woot! woot!

Sammy,
We can't sell music, because it was given to us under certain restrictions. Honestly, that vinyl is probably worth more to us now than what it would fetch on the street. One day young poppers will buy it up by the truckload thinking it's ancient gold.

Hopefully soon we'll pop in some digital playlists.

Also, shoot Tyler an email about the show.
